Current Status
Bumper Governance will migrate to a fully decentralised state over time. The Bumper protocol was released on Arbitrum One in December 2023 with various security measures in place to protect the protocol from potential smart contract hacks and bad actors utilising their token allocation to manipulate technical proposals.
While the protocol is in its infancy, early-stage preventative measures are in place to secure protocol safety, user funds and future development.
Key smart contracts associated with the key operations (such as rebalancing) of the Bumper protocol remain closed source.
Implementation of a Technical Steering Committee (TSC) that authorises the final stages of a Bumper Improvement Proposal.
A percentage of BUMP tokens have been assigned to the DAO Treasury contract.
